1. Non-ferrous metal continuous casting and semi-continuous casting graphite mold

In recent years, the direct continuous (or semi-continuous) production of molten metal rods and tubes has been widely used in China and other countries . This method has been applied in copper, copper alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys in China. Artificial graphite is an ideal material for non-ferrous continuous casting and semi-continuous casting. The production practice has proved that the graphite mold has good thermal conductivity (determines the solidification rate of the metal or alloy), good self-lubrication performance, not only can improve the mold speed, but also the ingot size is accurate, the surface is smooth, the grain structure is uniform, and can be directly processed in the next step. This not only greatly improves the output, reduces the loss of waste products, but also greatly improves the quality of products.

2. Die casting graphite mold

Artificial graphite materials have been successfully applied to non-ferrous metal die casting. For example, zinc alloy and copper alloy castings produced from die casting molds made of artificial graphite materials have been used in automotive parts.

3. Graphite mold for centrifugal casting

Graphite molds have been successfully used in centrifugal casting. In order to prevent the artificial graphite mold from burning, anti-oxidation measures should be taken. After casting a certain number of castings, if burns are found on the inner surface of the mold, the size of the hole in the mold can be expanded for casting large-size shells.

4.Hot pressed graphite mold

The artificial graphite hot pressing die has the following characteristics in the pressure sintering of cemented carbide:

(1) If the pressing temperature is increased to 1350-1450 degrees, the required unit pressure can be reduced to 67-100kgf/cm2(that is, 1/10 of the cold pressing pressure);

(2) Pressing and heating are carried out in the same process, and dense sintered bodies can be obtained after a short time of sintering.

5. Sintered graphite mold

Because the artificial graphite material has the characteristics of small thermal deformation, it can be used to make the sintered mold and bracket of transistors, so it has been widely used and has become an essential material for the development of the semiconductor industry. In addition, graphite molds are also used in cast iron molds, durable molds of various non-ferrous metals, cast steel molds, heat-resistant metals (titanium, zirconium, molybdenum, etc.) molds and thermit welding molds for rail welding.
